The National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) under the National Educational Testing Bureau will be held twice an year June & December (Last Sunday). The national-level NET qualifies candidates for the role of Assistant Professor and for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) in Indian Universities and Colleges. The test consists of 3 Papers. As the exam approaches its time to study, after all soon you may be the one teaching! Here are some tips for the compulsory Paper I.

Paper Pattern:

The Paper I exam tests the Teaching/Research aptitude of the aspirant and consists of 60 objective type multiple choice questions out of which 50 questions are to be attempted. Each question is worth 2 marks and the maximum marks for the exam is 100. Minimum qualifying marks are 40 marks (40%) for General and 35 marks (35%) for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. The Paper is divided into 10 sections, with 5 questions being based on each section.
